2007-08 IIE(HK) 28th Annual Dinner/21st Scholarship Award Presentation

Over a hundred guests and members attended the 2007-08 IIE(HK) 28th Annual Dinner/21st Scholarship Award Presentation held on Thursday 29th May 2008 at the Regal Hong Kong Hotel. Gratefully, we had the privilege of having Ir Daniel M. Cheng, the Managing Director of Dunwell Group, as the Guest of Honour of the evening who presented an inspiring speech on IIE's Future of Corporate Social Responsibility--Innovation, Influence and Environment. Meanwhile, Mr. Brian Yu, the ex-Manager of Industrial Engineering and Competitive Intelligence of The Hong Kong Disneyland, delivered a keynote speech on I.E. Behind the Magic. It was a wonderful evening and the event created for all of us enormous joy and precious memories.

Regional Vice-president (Asia) of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE)

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management Fugee Tsung was elected Regional Vice-president (Asia) of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) headquartered in Metro Atlanta, USA.His appointment will be effective starting 1 April, 2008 and for a term of two years.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology( Hong Kong)
The Institution of Engineering and Technology was formed by the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) and now has more than 150,000 members worldwide. It is the largest professional engineering society in Europe and the second largest in the world. We aim to serve a global community engaged in engineering and technology, providing a knowledge network accessible whenever or wherever you choose. The history of the Institution can be traced back to 1871.
